Hacker displays more than 18,000 Huawei routers in 24 hours

An intruder claims to have created the botnet network within 24 hours, offering 18,000 routers to China's giant telecommunications giant Huawei.
The electronic hacker, nicknamed Anarchy, boasts of building robots using an old hole, ZDNet.com said on Friday. According to a report in Bleeping Computer, this new robot was first spotted this week by security researchers from a cyber security company called NewSky Security.
After this news, other security companies including Rapid7 and Qihoo 360 Netlab have confirmed the new threat, has seen a wide spread at the level of Huawei devices.
What surprised security researchers is that Anarchy built a giant botnet network within a day using a vulnerability that was used by CVE-2017-17215.
Botnets, which refer to large networks, can be used to perform a distributed denial of service attack (DDoS attack), send malicious packets from data to a device, and execute the code remotely.
