If your Instagram account is public, there's no real way to prevent people from looking at your posts. Even if you block someone, your photos will be just a special browser window. However, Instagram at least tries to give users more direct control over their followers list; the company has started a wide-scale testing of the ability to manually remove followers with a few clicks.
Users with special accounts have long been able to remove followers and immediately dismiss them from their content. But an increasing number of public accounts also gained the option of manually expelling people from the group of followers. These new "Remove followers" reports have appeared over the past few months and appear to be distributed to a larger sample of users - at least on Android.
This time, Instagram tries to give you more power over who follows you, without taking the big step of turning your account into a private one.
Many people with Android phones can have the Remove Fuller function. To check if you have, go to your profile page, click Followers, and you'll see an icon with three vertical dots at the far left of your username. Clicking on that brings up the claim to remove someone.
